Chanel to Westwood
19 Sept 2014 – 18 Jan 2015
Inspirational fashion knitwear from the 20th century. Highlights include 1920s Chanel jersey, 1930s woollen swimwear, 1970s Bill Gibb and conceptual garments from 1980s and 90s designers Comme des Garçons, Vivienne Westwood and Julien MacDonald. An exciting combination of famous names and visually exciting pieces, the exhibition charts the influence of art movements Pop, Punk and Deconstruction alongside new knitwear technologies and design innovation.

  1. I'm not very experimental for those things, I prefer a very classical lemonade (lemon or lime, sparkling water, cane sugar, maybe a little fresh mint leaves) or mojito (same, with rum and of course fresh mint is no longer optional)
Great jug! What a lovely giveaway!

  5. Lovely pitcher!
Fresh Meadow is our favorite in the summer to put in a pitcher.
    This usually makes 4 drinks.

Peel and juice 3 cucumbers (if you don't have a juicer, peel and blend and sieve)
Muddle a mint sprig with caster sugar
Add a few jiggers of Hendrick's Gin
    Juice of one lime
Top off pitcher with cold seltzer
Add a mint leaf or reserve a few cucumber peels for garnish

  8. Cinerella - love the name it and the taste :-) - a great refreshing mocktail as I find alcohol tends to dehydrate me outside in the summer.

    Ingredients:
    45ml lemon juice
    45ml pineapple juice
    45ml orange juice
    Dash of grenadine
    Soda water
    Crushed ice
Method: Mix all ingredients except soda water. Stir vigorously. Top with soda water. Use pineapple and orange slices for garnish
